Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
The year started for Littler in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
